How did it go and was it worth it. I am sure others have been wondering how come I have taken so long to do this myself. When I originally started this thread it was intended for my house that I currently live in, as time has gone by I started to build a barn myself and it has distracted me from putting the AC in the house.

Any thoughts are appreciated!. I assume this is replacing an existing system. If its for installing a new system where no AC was before then its a really good price.
Subject: new hvac quote We live in south Florida. Cathedral ceilings, lots of windows. I noticed the humidity levels, feeling, smelling dampness in house this summer.
Got a dehumidifier last month. During our service call, service noticed the airhandler was not heating, just blowing air.
We turned the unit back on and it worked another couple of days and the same thing has happened. Any suggestions as we are financially unable to replace the unit at this time and we live in south texas so really need some kind of cool air.
Another possibility is that is not 24/7 a c compressor leak repair costs Sanford FL enough air across the cooling coil. You say you swept out the upper unit, so I take that as meaning you can get access to down flow side of the cooling coil. You probably need a service tech.

Comments are listed in chronological order. My refrigerant gas line seems to be sealed to the access panel door with a round seal making it difficult for me to remove the panel. Is it okay to break this seal somehow. Here is a picture. If you zoom in, you can see the black seal.
It would have been considerably less without the air handler. However I understand that the air handler minimizes the stress on your system and extends its life. Have not received my first heating bill. All competitive bids that I received indicated to me there will be a significant savings in Heating and Cooling cost, compared to my old electric furnace. An estimate should be included to swap out a new unit for old, that is a less expensive install.
I live in the Sanford area. Do you feel that this is a reasonable replacement cost for compressor and labor. Copeland Scrool should be the comp manufacturer typically has ten year warranties.

It then turns off completely until your house rises past that temperature again and repeats the process. In hot, humid climates with pulsing solar rays, the air conditioner will turn on often to compensate for the heat outside. This will lead to a lot of loud noises and an increase in your utility bill. When your house rises above the preset temperature, it will turn on at two-thirds capacity and work its way to full capacity.
Then, it will come down from full capacity to two-thirds capacity and shut off.
I know everyone says that installation is key to the systems lasting longer with less issues. Do AC installers skill vary this widely to justify this kind of range. SKILL AND knowledge IS A BIG FACTOR. Make sure they get the right size units once the installer have finished there job there has to be a check by a STATE inspector to make sure all is done to code this is the most important part.
Again, these can change from one manufacturer to another, so be sure to read your fine print. Rebates With an HVAC system, rebates are often quite substantial. At the state level the rebates are still substantial. Many of them offer rebates on top of the state and federal rebates.
Home air conditioner professionals help determine this factor in their load calculations, but the next step is looking at the energy efficiency ratio EER and seasonal energy efficiency ratio SEER ratings of cooling units. An EER certifies the cooling efficiency of HVAC units. The SEER is determined by the cooling output during the winter divided by its electric input during the winter.
The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient it will be.
